Small puffs of air take form as you exhale, gently rubbing your arms to try and keep warm. You walk over to the space heater and adjust the settings, hoping the warm air will fill up the living room.
You reach over for the plush throw blanket and wrap yourself up, settling down on the couch as multiple chimes ring from your mobile phone. Taking the phone in your hand, worry and disappointment starts to take over as text messages are exchanged between you and Kou.

“Hey, Kazuya!” You called out, jogging towards him, eyes filled with a curious glimmer that he knew all too well. You had a question for him.
"What is it?" He called back, hands in his pockets as he waited for you to stop in front of him. He grinned at the sight of you panting for air, with that bright look in your eyes. Maybe what you wanted to ask was something interesting, as per usual.
"I have a question for you!"

His expression remained the same as he nodded, signaling that you could ask whatever you wanted.

He wasn’t sure what to make of the strange sensation that coiled inside his chest. He could feel something inside him clenching desperately, stirring with a feeling that he wasn’t entirely sure how to place. His upper abdomen convulsed with frantic palpitations, and he struggled to breathe when it happened.
He couldn’t understand why it happened wh
